The Division of Philanthropic & Alumni Engagement PAE at the University of Pittsburgh is dedicated to fostering meaningful relationships with donors, alumni, and stakeholders, supporting the Universitys mission in education, research, and healthcare. We invite you to become a pivotal part of our team as the Senior Development Associate.

In this role, you will serve as the integral part within PAEs Medical and Health Sciences Foundation, reporting to the Senior Director of Development, Academic and Clinical Medicine.

Key responsibilities of this role include:
Working in direct collaboration with development staff.
Developing and implementing comprehensive fundraising strategies for direct identification, cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship of select individual prospects.
Focusing on cultivation across patients, Alumni and friends from UPMC and the School of Medicine, with a goal of increasing annual giving and moving selected portions of the portfolio into future Major Gifts. Why Join Us?

Job Summary

Builds partnerships that strengthen existing donor relationships and identifies, cultivates, stewards, and solicits contributions. Facilitates stewardship evaluations and determines corresponding University and prospective interests.

 

Essential Functions Ability to visit with prospects in differing locations
Ability to use of telephone and a computer
Ability to attend meetings in a variety of locations on and off campus
Have the ability and flexibility to travel as needed

 

Physical Effort Little physical effort required. Duties are primarily sedentary. May be required to move objects up to 25 pounds occasionally. Must be able to travel.
