Job Description and Qualifications
The position is for the recruitment of an Assistant Professor, Associate Professor, or Professor in the appointment non-tenure stream. Available positions are open to all applicants who hold doctoral-level education in the field of medicine MD, DO, are board-certified or board eligible, are qualified for medical licensure in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, and meet the minimum position credentials for the pediatric specialty to provide clinical service. Responsibilities will include patient care, teaching, and research as determined by the chairman and associated division chief.
Assistant Professor, Associate Professor, and Professor positions in the non-tenure track at the University of Pittsburgh with rank and salary commensurate with experience and academic credentials. General rank requirements: Assistant Professors have 1-6 years of experience with demonstrated academic progress/contributions in their pediatric specialty; Associate Professors have 7-10 years of experience with significant demonstrated academic progress/contributions in their pediatric specialty; Professors have 10 or more years of experience with a clear demonstration of leadership, academic excellence and innovation in their pediatric specialty.
