UPMC is hiring a Full-Time, General Maintenance I or General Maintenance II to support the hospital in West Shore.

This is for 2nd shift; manager will discuss specific hours during interview.

Holidays and weekends are required.

Ideal candidate will have a positive attitude and enjoy being part of a team environment. Willing to train the right candidate.

Willing to have frequent interactions with medical staff members and patients.

Salary range for this position is $20.10-$31.63/hr.

Candidate will be placed in appropriate job title and salary based on experience and education.

Responsibilities:

Perform general maintenance work and tasks as directed with minimal supervision.

Exhibit a basic knowledge of electricity, carpentry/hardware repairs, and mechanical equipment and systems.

Assist with and maintain general cleaning duties on equipment and in mechanical support areas.

Perform specific preventive maintenance on a variety of equipment.

Perform all work following infection control procedures.

Record personal work orders and submit hours to supervisor on a daily basis.

Maintain clean and safe work area, equipment rooms and shop areas.

Perform any maintenance work required in which skills can be utilized.

Ability to work in extreme weather conditions.

Assist in snow removal.

Additional duties as assigned

General Maintenance I

High school diploma or equivalent is required.

Completion of a trade school program is preferred.

One year of general maintenance-related work experience is preferred.

General Maintenance II

High school diploma or equivalent is required.

Two years general maintenance-related work experience

OR completion of a trade school required.

Military experience considered.

Licensure, Certifications, and Clearances:

Drivers License
