Job Description

A client of Insight Global is looking for a Systems Engineer to sit hybrid in Aberdeen, MD. They will be responsible for supporting the SMART-T systems by focusing on its sustainment, obsolescence management, and technical documentation, with minimal hands-on involvement. The role involves analyzing system performance, recommending upgrades, decommissioning obsolete parts, and ensuring cost-effective solutions. Key responsibilities include reviewing maintenance concepts, developing Engineering Change Proposals (ECPs), performing trend analyses, and providing technical support to the Integrated Logistic Support Center (ILSC). The candidate will also handle Product Quality Deficiency Reports (PQDR), Defense Logistics Agency (DLA) 339 requests, and develop Performance Work Statements (PWS) and Independent Government Cost Estimates (IGCE). Up to 25% travel is necessary to provide on-site support and recommendations.

$38/hr to $65/hr.

Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education.

Skills and Requirements

Bachelors in Engineering

Experience with RF or communication systems

Knowledge within Maintenance Allocation Charts (MAC), National Stock Number (NSN) assignments, Level of Repair Analysis (LORA), Transition to Sustainment plans (T2S), Life Cycle Sustainment Plan (LCSP), or Review of Core Deport Assessment (CDA) Plan.

Familiarity with ARP/SOW and IGCE or general cost estimating experience. null
