Distillation Technician

Job Title: Distillation TechnicianJob Description

Distillation is an action of purifying a liquid by a process of heating and cooling. You will operate and oversee equipment used for the distillation process, including distillation of target compounds and batches from specified raw materials. Responsibilities include temperature checking and completion of batch records per GMP and SOPs, performing necessary calculations, product inspection, and providing samples for quality control testing. You will also record various data points, use a computer system to input data into the tracking system, and comply with best practices and standard operating procedures while continuously working to improve processes. The work hours are from 7 PM to 3 AM, Monday through Friday.

This is a fully on-site position in Belcamp, Maryland.

Work Environment

Independent work environment requiring smart calculations for product specifications and thorough documentation. Attention to detail is crucial, as is the ability to input data into an internal tracking system. You must be able to handle expensive ingredients and work in a manufacturing setting where casual attire like jeans and a t-shirt is common. The culture is that of a family-owned company with a work hard, play hard attitude and straightforward communication. Interaction at various levels is necessary.
