A week in the life of an AEGIS Computer Network Technician Course Facilitator:
Develop, organize and conduct training and educational programs for Fleet sailors.
Conduct traditional classroom instruction and support tactical lab training.
Train CG/DDG sailors in preventive and corrective maintenance for the UYQ-70 Local Area Network (LAN).
Train others in the alignment, adjustment, configuration, removal, replacement of the lowest replaceable unit.
Provide subject matter expertise in support of curriculum development for ATRC courses.
Provide dynamic teaching & training of U.S. Navy Aegis Combat Systems to the officer level.
Review and analyze U.S. Navy Aegis Combat System Engineering Capabilities and Limitations and U.S. Navy Operational and Tactical doctrine.
Conduct dynamic assessment of the sailors’ abilities to comply with approved maintenance and operational procedures.
Provide formal appraisal of performance.
Observe and assess contemporaries during Practice and Certification Teaches.
Support Course Reviews and Curriculum Updates
Conduct training gap analysis for Course improvement.
Document training conducted.
Generate formal assessment of measure of success via written report.
Develop, test, maintain and deliver moderately complex Aegis training programs.
Establish course content and objectives.
Maintain records of training activities, participant progress and program effectiveness.
Job Requirements
High School Diploma
Ability to obtain a Secret Clearance
Travel may be required up to 10% of time.
Must be able to support training with extended periods on your feet while instructing.
Must be willing to support shift work as assigned by government customer.
At least six (6) years of experience in:
Working with Baseline 6 or greater on the AEGIS Computer Network System.

Actual compensation will be determined based on several factors permitted by law.
