What is it that we do at Colonial Pipeline Company?

Colonial Pipeline is the largest refined products pipeline in the United States, transporting more than 100 million gallons or 2.5 million barrels per day. Colonial transports various grades of gasoline, diesel fuel, home heating oil, jet fuel, and fuels for the U.S. military through a pipeline system. Colonial transports approximately 45 percent of all fuel consumed on the East Coast, providing refined products to more than 50 million Americans.

About the One Call Specialist Position

As a One Call Specialist you are accountable for ensuring the protection of Colonial’s Right of Way through complete evaluation, acknowledgement and/or delegation of all One Call Tickets, Aerial Observation Reports (AORs) and 1-800 calls received in the One Call Center in Alpharetta. The One Call Specialist is responsible for interfacing and supporting field Operations/Right of Way personnel and for participating in special projects, Right of Way Training events, and engaging in innovative efforts related to enhancing the One Call notification, response, and documentation system(s) by providing continuous improvement suggestions.

What You Get to Do:

Ensure consistent, timely and accurate screening of One-Call Ticket Notifications, AORs and 1-800 Calls.

Electronically locate the work site stipulated on each One-Call Ticket utilizing available mapping or other resources and determine if it conflicts with Company pipeline facilities.

Assign One-Call Ticket to appropriate Right of Way personnel and ensure proper follow up measures are initiated for emergency AORs through direct contact with applicable Right of Way personnel.

Respond to 1-800 Calls, take appropriate action, ensure all applicable parties are notified and verify that proper follow up measures have been initiated.

Generate reports to support management of One-Call Center operations.

Provide support in the form of ideas or engagement in special project efforts to check, adjust and enhance the overall effectiveness of the systems relating to One Call ticket notification, response, and documentation.

What You Bring to the Table:

High School Diploma or General Education Diploma (GED) from an accredited education institution.

Ideally, 1 year of experience in a business environment.

Experience with Right of Way procedures and concepts and aerial patrol observation reporting programs.

Ability to think analytically and problem solve/ make decisions.

Commitment to consistently adhere to policies and procedures and be a positive example for others by demonstrating the Company’s core values of Respect, Accountability, Innovation, Safety, and Excellence in completing work assignments.

Self-motivated, have phenomenal work ethic and looking for the right company to support your growth.
