Overview
This is a sales and customer support role that is critical to help deliver solar and storage solutions to new home builders. You will help define, implement and manage the New Homes Program by working both internally with sales, design, project operations and various key functions, and externally with builders, architects, energy modelers, building departments and other stakeholders. This is a highly complex role that requires excellent communication skills, diligence, and a high level of self-organization.
Responsibilities
Manage new bid requests and generate proposals
Set proper expectations so that projects are successful and profitable
Balances adequately the interest of the company and the customer
Escalates all commercial or contractual concerns promptly and formally
Seeks prompt resolution
Able to articulate his opinions effectively and present succinctly at all levels of the organization
Relentless in his pursuit of success and problem resolution
Identify Scope of Work (SOW) for new projects and document the process for Field and Project Operations teams
Review architectural plans for each new project and route engineering requests through the design team
Prioritize new requests based on project timing and urgency
Track outstanding design requests, monitor execution and review deliverables for quality check and feedback
Initiate permitting research for new building departments that have not been vetted
Identify special or unique processes and communicate downstream to Field and Project Operations teams
Determine whether or not Master Plans or Individual solar packages are required per jurisdiction
Work with Architect and Builder to submit solar master plans, or if Sunrun is responsible for submittal, then handoff to Field Operations for submittal
Track the status through to approval/issuance-
Track material and products specified in proposals and manage data entry/tracking for metrics reporting to Exec’s
Drive projects forward and ensure timely delivery back to the builders
Update the forecast and pipeline management file with new opportunities and upcoming work
Flag teams downstream and provide management with visibility on outstanding proposals
Update the Sales Operations trackers for Integrated, EPC and Direct new projects. Also, create CAO in Salesforce
Manage contract execution
Work with Sunrun Sales, the builder and Sunrun legal teams to align on terms and process the document through the Sunrun contract portal
Identify builder insurance requirements and ensure initial coverage in new partnerships. COI and OCIP
Monitor Sales Operations pipeline and track all outstanding proposals
Identify and immediately tackle issues preventing proper and timely execution
Establish yourself as an asset to the sales team and enable them to sell more and grow their pipeline
Willing to travel 1 or 2 days at a time to meet with Builders, Architects or support Sales team with client meetings
Communicate proactively, follow-up, follow-through and build lasting, trusting relationships with your accounts
Be the main point of contact for Sunrun Sales and Builders front-end teams
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree preferred
Minimum of 5 years of previous project coordination or project management experience
Solar and/or production building experience preferred
Demonstrated customer service skills
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Excellent organizational and time management skills
Detail-oriented and enjoys working in a fast-paced environment
Strong computer skills including proficiency in MS Word, Excel, Outlook, Salesforce and internet use
Strong work ethic
Ability to prioritize and complete a variety of simultaneous tasks with a high level of organization
Ability to remain in a seated position for more than 50 percent of the workday
Sufficient hand, arm, and finger dexterity to operate a computer keyboard and other office equipment
Ability to exert up to 10 pounds of force and occasionally lift and or move up to 15 pounds
Ability to perform normal office duties
Ability to operate office equipment including computers and determine accuracy of work
Ability to interact and participate in meetings
Ability to travel ~10% of your working time and stay out of town as needed

Starting salary/wage for this opportunity:
$65,640.49 to $87,520.65
Other rewards may include annual bonus eligibility, which is based on company and individual performance, short and long term incentives, and program-specific awards.
