Overview

Private Duty LPN – Full-Time Night Shift

Location: Maryville, TN 37804Schedule: Full-Time, Night Shift (7pm – 7am)

Overview:We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to provide one-on-one care for a 5-year-old female patient in Maryville, TN. The patient requires constant supervision due to fall risk, and care includes seizure precautions, assistance with transfers, medication administration, oral/nasal suctioning, and oxygen monitoring. This is a full-time night shift position, offering an opportunity to make a meaningful impact through personalized care.

Key Responsibilities:

Seizure precautions and monitoring.

Assistance with difficult oral feeding and medication administration.

Assistance with transfers and ADLs (Activities of Daily Living).

Oral/nasal suctioning and oxygen monitoring.

LPN assessments and documentation.

Constant supervision due to fall risk.

Requirements:

Female staff preferredto support patient comfort and personal care needs.

Active LPN license.

Experience with pediatric patients preferred.

Training Available: Comprehensive training is offered.

Responsibilities

Perform selected nursing procedures within the scope of LPN practice

Provide patient and family teaching according to plan outlined by the RN

Monitor patients vital signs and make specific measurements and observations

Monitor and record intake and output. Report significant changes immediately

Observe, assess and record patients physical and mental condition and reports any changes

Administer medications as instructed and as ordered by the physician and instructed by the RN and document the patients file accordingly

Attend and participate in multi-disciplinary patient case conferences, staff meetings and in-service education programs as assigned

Qualifications

Licensed Practical Nurse / LPN license in good standing

Previous private duty, home health, hospice, hospital or skilled nursing experience preferred

Active CPR certification

Familiarity with electronic health records

Strong problem solving and critical thinking skills

Reliable transportation, valid drivers license and current automobile insurance
