Job Summary
Prepares, develops and analyzes university related statistical data concerning students, course, employee, and university matters from internal and external sources. Responsible for reporting statistical data internally and externally.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities
Manage and maintain ad hoc data request system and survey research requesting institutional demographics. Both duties require developing, analyzing, and reporting reports and queries.
Reconcile office budget and provide ongoing budget analysis using Excel.
Responsible for preparing, analyzing and reporting official data to the Federal Government (Integrated Postsecondary Education Data System – IPEDS).
Responsible for assisting the implementation of the data literacy program each semester in conjunction with the Senior Research Analyst.
Responsible for assisting the implementation of the data integrity program each semester in conjunction with the Assistant Director for Institutional Research – Data Integrity Analyst.
Support the Director for Institutional Research and Assistant Director for Institutional Research, Data Integrity Analyst in handling requests for information.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in data science, computer science, social science or related fields; At least 2 years’ experience and/or training in analyzing data; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
Comfortable with Microsoft Office, specifically Excel and Access;
Ability to design SQL queries;
Demonstrated ability to work effectively with data and numbers;
Ability to prepare concise reports; Meticulous attention to detail and accuracy;
Excellent organization and time management skills
Preferred Qualifications
Proficiency with use of Microsoft Access, SQL, PeopleSoft, Tableau; Demonstrated data quality control experience.
