The Associate Director – Talent Acquisition & Compliance will oversee the U.S. immigration program, ensuring compliance with employment and immigration laws, and providing guidance on best practices for hiring international talent. This role is crucial in developing a long-term immigration strategy, driving service accountability, and managing an internal subject matter expert and the relationship with our external legal partner. In addition, this role will support broader talent acquisition compliance to ensure adherence to local, state and federal employment laws and regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
Immigration Program Management:
Oversee the company’s immigration program, including visa applications, renewals, and compliance.
Manage relationships with immigration legal support, ensuring accountability for high-quality service delivery, including development of scorecard and key performance indicators (KPI)
Drive continuous process improvements and ensure effective scaling of the program.
Coach and develop staff and subject matter experts (SME) to enhance their skills and knowledge.
Develop and maintain up to date, accessible and easy to use training and education to support key stakeholders including employees, supervisors, and HR through the immigration process.
Utilize technological solutions to provide timely updates on cases and enhance tracking of visa applications and statuses, enabling proactive measures to achieve optimal immigration outcomes.
Immigration Strategy:
Develop and implement a comprehensive long-term US Immigration strategy to support candidates and employees.
Collaborate with the business, legal and HR on immigration support strategies to drive recruitment and retention of top talent.
Talent Acquisition Compliance & Support:
Ensure all talent acquisition activities comply with local, state, and federal employment laws and regulations.
Provide guidance and support to the talent acquisition team on compliance and immigration-related matters.
Conduct training sessions for hiring managers and recruiters on compliance and immigration best practices.
Assist in the development of strategies to attract and retain international talent.
Documentation & Reporting:
Maintain accurate records of all immigration-related documentation.
Prepare and submit required reports to government agencies.
Conduct regular audits of talent acquisition processes to ensure compliance.
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in either talent acquisition, vendor management, immigration program management or a related experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
Strong understanding of US immigration regulations and employment laws.
Excellent project management and organizational skills.
Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and external vendors.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Demonstrated experience with compliance and process improvement.
Leadership experience.
