Job Title: Machine Assembler

Job Description

We are looking to hire an assembler for our South Bend, IN location. The candidate will be fastening joints and seams in sheet metal using fasteners and drivers, ensuring work meets quality specifications and safety guidelines. The role involves working on ladders and being exposed to heights. Experience in a team environment and construction experience is advantageous. The pay for this position is $18/hr.

Hard Skills

Screwing sheet metal panels together

Installing insulation

Using power tools (drills, grinders, plasma cutting equipment, etc.)

Lay out, measure, and mark dimensions and reference lines on material

Utilization of calculator and tape measure

Fasten seams and joints together with bolts, rivets, caulks, and metal drive clips

Drill holes in metal for screws, bolts, and rivets

Assemble and fit pre-fabricated parts to form subassemblies

Maintain cleanliness of work area

Work Site

This is a fully on-site position in South Bend, Indiana.

Work Environment

This is a fab shop environment (darker, dirty, loud) where large control panels that sit on top of commercial buildings are manufactured.
