## Job Summary

The duties and expectations of this position include carrying out research and development focused on Artificial Intelligence, intelligent program repair, Edge AI and Software Engineering Intelligence, participation in preparation of technical reports and papers related to your research, and collaboration with other members of the ISE research group at UM-Flint and external collaborators engaged in related research and activities. The successful candidate will also participate in mentoring and supervising undergraduate and graduate students engaged in design activities.

This position reports directly to Dr. Thiago Ferreria. 
 

This is a one (1) year term limited position with the possibility for extension contingent on performance and funding. 
 

## Responsibilities

– Mentoring and supervising undergraduate and graduate students engaged in design activities
– Coordinating with external collaborators engaged in related research and activities
– Research and development activities focused on Artificial Intelligence
– Interface directly with Dr. Thiago Ferreria with regards to his ongoing research needs 

## Required Qualifications

– A Ph.D. in artificial intelligence, computer science, or a similar field
– Research or graduate experience in Artificial Intelligence, intelligent program repair, Edge AI and Software Engineering Intelligence
– Familiarity with creating technical reports and papers
– Demonstrated ability to analyze data and lead the writing of manuscripts for refereed journal publication.
