Position Summary:
Responsible to ensure policies and procedures are followed throughout the plant. Supervises a specific area of the manufacturing plant with responsibility and demonstration of model behavior for safety, quality, productivity, continuous improvement, and employee relations.
Primary Responsibilities:
Responsible for all parts being built to the manufacturing plan and customer specifications
Provide training and direction consistent with training requirements dictated by TS16949 documents
Ensure any accident or near miss report investigation are accurately completed
Monitor scheduled work to meet customer requirements and ensure labor is managed efficiently and effectively
Ensure material is available for Operators to meet schedules
Maintain specific control measures to provide traceability throughout the manufacturing process
Follows all schedules and requirements pertaining to LPAs and Focus Safety Audits
Responsible for ensuring production records (scrap, rate board documentation) are maintained daily
Responsible for attendance, overtime, and overtime equalization daily
Arrange, conduct and or oversee team meetings to ensure communication of important information, including shift huddles
Supports an attitude of team work and continuous improvement
Understands the importance of quality and assists in the achievement and maintenance of TS 16949 and ISO 14001 certifications
May, on occasion, be required to perform duties other than those specified in this description
Education and Qualifications:
Four year degree or two year degree in pursuit of a four year degree with two to four years in supervision and / or more than three years practical experience in supervision / management
Problem solving and analytical skills to gather and interpret production information
Computer competency required, spreadsheet, charting, and word documentation
Willingness and ability to travel, as necessary
Work Environment/Work Conditions:
Professional Office Environment
Must wear proper personal protection equipment while on manufacturing floor
Travel to manufacturing facilities or customer locations when required
Equipment used requires proper training on the potential for and avoidance of injury
