The Opportunity
Collaborate with lines of business to deliver best in industry value when fulfilling requests for goods and managing suppliers and supplier risk as part of the supply chain team. Responsible for all aspects of team activities, directing organizational and process change to optimize performance and mitigate risk. Manages and coaches medium to large projects through all phases. Responsible for identifying and controlling scope, quality and schedule while managing team activities. Partners with Ally Supply Chain and LOB management to determine business needs and establishing strategies. Ensures team effectively creates and communicates project status reports. Support the enablement of contracts in the Ariba contract repository
The Work Itself
Manages the coordination of activities of a section or department with responsibility for results in terms of costs, methods, and employees.
Responsible for the evaluation of vendor reliability; manages the surveying of vendors to maintain adequate working relationship.
Prepares budgets and develops and administers vendor selection processes and programs.
Reviews and approves purchases up to a specified dollar amount.
May negotiate major contracts involving large dollar amounts.
Develops policies and procedures for the operation of procurement activities.
Monitors the cost, schedule and performance aspects of major subcontracts.
Coordinates purchasing activities with Planning, order fulfillment to maintain inventories at planned levels.
The Skills You Bring
3 years of strategic sourcing, negotiation and other relevant procurement management experience.
Bachelor Degree required.
Appropriate professional affiliations/certifications preferred.
Proficiency in computer applications, business and industry analysis, financial analysis, supplier selection and management, contract negotiations, conflict management, decision making, strategic thinking.
Has demonstrated the ability to lead a work effort to negotiate price, rates, details, contract terms and conditions.
Analytical ability to develop and execute strategic and tactical plans.
Must possess good individual communication skills Is able to multi task.
Has demonstrated the ability to manage large projects across multiple parties while delivering results.
Has demonstrated the ability to handle difficult situations with clients and/or vendor negotiations.

Emerging: 70000
Experienced: 95000
Expert: 120000
Incentive Compensation: This position is eligible to participate in our annual incentive plan
