Required Minimum Qualifications:• Ability to read, write and follow instructions.
Preferred Qualifications:High School degree or equivalent and 1 years working in Office Administration and Customer Service or closely related field.
1 semester of experience collecting survey or other human subjects research data is a plus.
Experience working on the telephone.
Proficient with Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook.
Experience with Qualtrics and Smartsheet
Job Description:
Recruitment of Iowa Schools for participation in a biennial census survey for Iowa Health and Human Services (IHHS). Including making regular outreach calls and sending emails to Iowa Schools. Keeping accurate records of communication and participation. Meeting regularly with project manager and staff, as well as Bi-monthly project ZOOM meetings with Iowa HHS
Part time, 20 hours a week for 30 weeks during the academic school year, excluding school holidays and breaks.
Flexible work schedule between 7:30 am and 4:30 pm, Monday-Friday.
Characteristic Duties and Responsibilities
• Assists in collating, stapling, and distributing handouts, and printed materials.
• Assists in registering participants at workshops and conferences by checking names, distributing packets, selling tickets and collecting fees.
• Gathers information from prepared questions to complete telephone surveys.
• Answers the telephone and relays messages.
• Makes copies and operates facsimile machines.
• Runs errands both on the campus and away from the campus.
• Assists visitors in locating room assignments, campus locations, and local establishments such as dining facilities, local sites of interest and shopping malls.
• Performs routine and repetitive clerical tasks.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
• Ability to follow oral and written instructions.
• Ability to operate office equipment.
