Job Title: Drafter

Job Description

o Prepare 3D models of building systems in Revit

o Prepare 3D Navisworks models used for BIM coordination

o Prepare 2D installation and prefabrication drawings, with all required dimensions, tagout, call outs, sections, etc.

o Run clash detection reports, resolve clashes, and participate in BIM coordination process

o Build Revit families, standard details and contribute to BIM standards

o Follow established standards for modeling and production of drawings

o Handle a number of projects simultaneously to ensure each project is staying on track

Work Site

This is a fully on-site position in Davenport, Iowa

Skills

Bachelors or Associates degree OR relevant software experience.

3D software experience (AutoCAD, SolidWorks, Inventor), will be trained on specific software

Good culture fit, willing to learn, able to meet high pressure deadlines, good attendance, computer savvy

Revit, experience doing electrical BIM, Navisworks, Trimble Realworks

About

90% or more of the day will be at their desk drafting.

Open to hybrid

Hours: Mon-Fri 7a-4p.

Room for growth as team grows. Could move up to team/BIM leader, could take on their own job, could eventually oversee other drafters.

Project examples include Steel Foundry in Wisconsin, Shingles for a plant in Lincoln, the bacon plant in davenport, hospital job in Iowa City.
