Job Title: EngineerJob Description
Provide engineering support for new product development projects in a lead role. Interface with Product Group leader, Project manager, and other project team members to enhance existing products. Provide direction to others relative to assigned project development activities. Design solutions that meet the specific needs outlined in Engineering Change requests. Provide engineering and Finite element analysis as required by the project scope. Work with vendors to facilitate communication and product development needs. Write test plans and quality documents. Generate manufacturing-ready designs, including working with factory personnel to ensure capabilities alignment. Execute engineering analysis and high-level accepted engineering practices.
Hard Skills
Working knowledge of solid modeling using SolidWorks
Strong drafting ability with knowledge of dimensional call outs tolerances and symbols
Experience performing stress analysis
Ability to read and interpret complex documents, blueprints, and work instructions
High level of mechanical aptitude with an understanding of electrical fundamentals
Understanding of materials and their properties in relation to engineering
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations
Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals
Advanced mathematical skills including exponents, logarithms, quadratic equations, and permutations
Ability to apply logical or scientific thinking to a wide range of problems
Hands-on ability to develop test fixtures and perform testing of design elements
Soft Skills
Effective communication and presentation skills
Ability to respond to questions from managers, customers, and the general public
Job Type
This is a Contract-to-Hire position with a duration of 6 Month(s).
Work Site
This is a fully on-site position in Jackson, Wisconsin.
Work Environment
This position is located in Jackson, WI, with occasional travel to a new facility in Hartford, WI. The company has 208 employees, offers a casual dress code, and operates on 8-hour days with minimal overtime.
