JOB REQUIREMENTS: Responsible for assisting the Pharmacist with
medication histories. Responsible for assisting the Pharmacist with
sample medications and meeting with drug reps Responsible for assisting
the Pharmacist with formulary management Responsible for daily
monitoring of Charge review workque, unreconciled report and
discrepancies Responsible for the daily filling, management and
reconciliation of Omnicells Responsible for the compounding IV
medication using aseptic technique Responsible for hand packing
medication for unit doses Responsible for the following medication
billing and auditing charges: o Inpatient (Floor) o Emergency Room o
Outpatient o Surgery o All Other Charge Areas Responsible for stocking
all contingencies of floor stock medications Responsible for placing
daily orders over computer, managing backorders and shortages
Responsible for comparing contract pricing with
wholesaler/Vizient/direct manufacturer orders Responsible for assisting
purchasing department with ordering of IV fluids through 340B program
Responsible for management of 340B program and auditing (use of Macro
Helix program) Responsible for vaccine ordering/management and WIR entry
for hospital and primary care clinics Responsible for daily PDMP entry
for ED prescriptions and ED script filing Responsible for Antibiotic
daily log for Antimicrobial Stewardship program and attend meetings
Responsible for processing medication outdates and returns through
Pharmalogistics Responsible for checking for the following areas for
inventory/ outdates: o Pharmacy o Emergency Room, Med Surg and
Anesthesia Omnicells o Crash Carts o Ancillary Departments Responsible
for assisting with Quality Assurance duties Responsible for the
placement of Narcotic Drug orders Responsible for reviewing the Narcotic
Sign-Out Sheet o Counts are correct/perpetual inventory o
Signatures/Co-Signs o Discrepancies Responsible for daily hood
preparation and cleaning Responsible for maintaining waste log
Responsible for other duties as needed and assigned by the Pharmacist
OTHER EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS: Knowledge of medical and
pharmaceutical terminology Computer skills (Experience with of Epic
helpful) Pharmacy billing skills (charge master, J-codes, prior
authorizations) Knowledge of aseptic technique and use of PPE needed for
