Discover Impactful Work:

Under close supervision, leads delivery of electronic information to the laboratory database. Provides technical advice for the use and operation of the laboratory database system including data quality control and content verification procedures according to SOPs.

Essential Functions:

Reviews requests for database modification for accuracy and consistency. Generates and tracks the worklist of database update requests. Provides accurate status information of all pending and completed database update requests on a regular basis.

May implement quality control review procedures to address data clarification or discrepancy queries. Identifies, resolves and updates data discrepancies and makes necessary changes to the database.

Generates internal communication memos/reports detailing a list of database updates on a regular basis.

Participates in internal/self-audit program of database content, supporting ongoing quality assurance and quality control procedures.

Performs corrective and preventative action activities and special project activities, as required, to support ongoing quality assurance and quality event outcomes.

Performs database modifications, existing content review for accuracy, and ongoing status updates of third-party and non-company contracted lab data.

Education and Experience:

High / Secondary school diploma or equivalent and relevant formal academic / vocational qualification

Technical positions may require a certificate

Previous experience that provides the knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the job (comparable to at least 4 years).

In some cases an equivalency, consisting of a combination of appropriate education, training and/or directly related experience, will be considered sufficient for an individual to meet the requirements of the role.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

Experience with Microsoft Excel and web-based applications preferred

Attention to detail

Knowledge of regulated industry/ environment preferred

Evidenced administrative competence and relevant data services skills

Working Conditions and Environment:

Work is performed in a clinical environment.

Exposure to biological fluids with potential exposure to infectious organisms.

Must be able to work in a cold environment and handle cold objects for an extended period of time.

Moderate lifting (or otherwise movement, carrying, setting, and placement)of 15-30 lbs. with a maximum lift of 35 lbs.
