JOB REQUIREMENTS: Position Summary: Do you want to join a collegial,
dynamic, and growing department? The Department of Computer Science and
Software Engineering (CSSE) at the University of Wisconsin-Platteville
is accepting applications for lecturer in Computer Science. The primary
duty will be teaching freshmen & sophomore level courses in Computer
Science and Software Engineering utilizing modern and inclusive
pedagogy. This is a full time, benefit-eligible position with a 9-month
academic appointment. Salary will be commensurate with qualifications
and experience. The University of Wisconsin System has a nationally top

October 21. The anticipated start date is Spring or Fall of 2025.
Responsibilities: Teach freshmen & sophomore level courses in computer
science and/or software engineering. What Youll Need to Succeed:
Masters degree in computer science, software engineering, or a related
field. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. A strong
commitment to teaching; Preference will be given to those who present
evidence of successful classroom teaching experiences in computer
science and/or software engineering. Computer Science and Software
Engineering Department: The Computer Science and Software Engineering
Department currently has eight full-time faculty members and offers B.S.
degrees in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, and Software Engineering. In
collaboration with our sister UW institutions, we also offer an online
M.S. in Cybersecurity and an online B.S. in Applied Computing. We are
proud to be the first university in Wisconsin to offer a Bachelor of
Science in Cybersecurity in Fall 2020, establishing ourselves as leaders
in this vital and expanding field. Our Software Engineering program is
the second largest in Wisconsin, providing students with a comprehensive
blend of theoretical and practical knowledge to meet the demands of the
