JOB REQUIREMENTS: Position Summary: The University of
Wisconsin-Platteville is seeking applicants for a position as Manager of
Multicultural Student Affairs. This position oversees our Multicultural
Student Affairs office, an office that serves traditionally
underrepresented student groups and works to make our campus more
inclusive and welcoming for all students. As the person who oversees
this office, they are responsible for managing the people and programs
that focus on the retention and graduation of underrepresented students,
an integral population at our university. In addition to day-to-day
programming and advising of such students, they oversee our UW System
Lawton Grant, assist with the management of the SUCCEED summer bridge
program, assist the recruitment office frequently with student visits
and programs, and act as a representative on campus on issues of
diversity and inclusivity of all students. The position is important in
the university-wide work towards best serving our diverse students and
making sure they succeed while at UW-Platteville. This is a full-time,
benefit and paid leave eligible position. Responsibilities: Manage and
assign student rosters to advisors, manage the communication, events and
initiatives to students and manage and train advisors. Maintain a small
advising load. Oversee and assist in the development of programs,
workshops, conferences and campus/community partnerships that address
retention of underrepresented minority students at UW-Platteville.
Supervise professional staff within the office as well as student staff
in the daily function and flow of the office. Monitor and ensure
compliance with program requirements and UW-Plattevilles academic
policies and regulations. Serve on Academic Appeals Board. Coordinate
Multicultural Student Affairs Graduation Celebrations and other student
recognition events. Administer and oversee the UW System Lawton Minority
Grant. Oversee programming, supply budgets and management of resources.
Oversee precollege programs to include monitoring summer camps,
year-round outreach programming, assessment and grant writing. Assist in
the management of the SUCCEED Summer Bridge Program. Serve on
appropriate campus and community committees to help further the mission
of Multicultural Student Affairs. Provide leadership in the Directors
