looking for someone who has the desire to support local communities and
be a part of the Human Services team. The purpose of the
Psychotherapist-Community Support Program is to provide psychotherapy to
clients and to provide community mental health services for the Sauk
County Department of Human Services. Essential Duties Provide various
types of psychotherapy such as cognitive behavioral therapy, dialectical
behavioral therapy, and motivational interviewing. Provide clients with
supportive psychotherapy, symptom management support, and life skills
education to allow consumers to attain and maintain their highest level
of independent living. Observe and monitor consumer compliance with
medication prescriptions, including occasional evening and weekend
medication observations. Consult with other service providers to
coordinate treatment with mental health, vocational, and institutional
personnel; refer clients to appropriate services/agencies; initiate
legal commitments and provide other case management services; and
coordinate client services during transition from commitment to
community living. Advocate on behalf of the client for needed benefits
and services, including applying for social security disability income,
housing subsidies, medical services, and economic support. Perform case
management tasks such as establishing consumer budgets and monitoring
finances, assessing client needs and refer to services/agencies when
necessary, preparing recovery plans and progress notes, and includes
duties listed under State Statute HFS 63. Coordinate efforts to provide
the support, consultative, informational, and educational needs of the
recipients family or others in the support system. Intervene in crisis
situations. Complete risk assessments. Lead or co-lead therapeutic,
social, or recreational groups for clients. Compile in-depth assessments
utilizing advanced interviewing skills for new clients and perform
annual mental health functional screens on current clients. Assist
clients seeking employment such as teaching employed related skills,
such as punctuality, appropriate work behavior, etc. And monitor
employment situation. Provide psychosocial rehabilitation to the
individual, group, family, and couples psychotherapy according to
clients defined rehabilitative goals. Provide representative payee
services and daily living skill training. Complete electronic logs, time
sheets, and mileage vouchers. Assist in supervising the drop-in center
for clients. Provide clinical consultation to CSP team members.
Occasional after-hours interventions for CSP consumers as needed. And
other duties as assigned. OTHER EXPERIENCE AND
QUALIFICATIONS: Licensed substance abuse counselor (SAC) 3 years of
