The Procurement Analyst II for Beckman Coulter Diagnostics is responsible for planning, organizing, and execution of tactical procurement for raw materials for reagent production.
This position is part of the Materials and Planning department located in Chaska, MN and will be an on-site role. At Beckman Coulter, our vision is to relentlessly reimagine healthcare, one diagnosis at a time.
You will be a part of the Reagent Procurement team and report to the site Reagent Procurement Manager responsible for a team of six Procurement Analysts. In this role, you will have the opportunity to:
Responsible for tactical procurement activities for a set of assigned suppliers and parts. This includes monitoring forecasts, placing purchase orders, monitoring supplier quality and OTD, resolving invoice discrepancies, and E&O scraps.
Works closely with external Suppliers, and internally with: Material Control, Planning, Manufacturing, Technical Team, and Shipping/Receiving functions to track and report status and define priorities to meet production schedules.
Manage escalations, part shortages, and expedite as necessary working closely with the Corporate Strategic Sourcing group to determine long-term corrective/preventative measures.
Drive targeted, sustainable improvement in supplier OTD, Working Capital turns, Purchase Price Variance, and related KPIs/objectives by leveraging DBS tools, facilitation skills, and change management.
The essential requirements of the job include:
Bachelors degree required with 2 years of experience in Procurement or closely related field, or Masters Degree in Supply Chain with 0 years of experience
Experience in high-volume work environment with effective interactions across functions
Strong working knowledge of ERP/MRP systems: Oracle EBS and Oracle APS or Cloud working knowledge is preferred.
Proficient with MS Office, focused in Excel, and ability to learn new programs that are job-specific.
It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:
APICS CPIM, CSCP, or CPM Certification.
Demonstrated knowledge of how to effectively operate in a regulated environment (FDA, GMED, NCIS etc.).
Previous experience with lean manufacturing processes or reagent manufacturing
