Optum Insight is seeking a service-oriented Sr. Consultant, Advisory Services to provide implementation and operational support in the area of healthcare provider analytics solution delivery. The Consultant will be responsible for supporting end-to-end delivery of analytics solutions within the value-based payment portfolio. Key activities include technical analysis, and delivery of technical solutions for value-based program deliverables.

Primary Responsibilities:

Support analytics service technical delivery within the Medicaid domain

Complete technical development as needed for based on defined requirements activities (e.g., meetings, workshops, JAD sessions) with business and technical stakeholders (e.g., business owners, process owners, domain experts).

Translate documented requirements into technical solutions using the appropriate tools – SQL/ SSIS and Database, Datamart concepts

Partner with applicable stakeholders to identify the operational impact of changes within defined solutions (e.g., changes to scripts/ procedures, compliance with applicable legal/regulatory requirements, additional requirements)

Collaborate with a team of analysts, and developers to complete deliverables per defined schedules

Support quality assurance, testing initiatives as needed

Support efforts to complete analysis and respond to state initiated audit requests

Support initiatives to improve implement operating efficiencies/effectiveness in services and deliverables

Required Qualifications:

8 years of experience working with healthcare claims data and provider operational data

6 years of experience with SQL/ Database concepts

2 years of experience within the Commercial, Medicaid and/or Medicare domain

Solid knowledge of data marts / data base structures

Support management and monitoring of delivered software solutions

Use and develop algorithms and develop and use develop data structures

Proven excellent data analysis skills and a demonstrated ability to assess patterns, trends, and behaviors within large data sets.

Proven ability to understand the underlying architecture of solution and how it meets business goals

Proven ability to apply modern practices for technical service delivery, e.g., DevOps, Agile, Cloud, ATDD, Mobile First, etc.

Proven ability to write, debug and test code to create working solutions

Proven ability to apply unique programming/scripting languages specific to software engineering

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience in the value-based technical solutions and analytics processing

Experience in the healthcare ecosystem – with the ability understand how payers and providers interact, and how value-based programs enable improved quality of care

Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. UnitedHealth Group complies with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
