Saw Operator

Job Description

Candidates will help prepare and cut metal to specific lengths as described in the work orders.

You will be responsible for gathering the right materials and utilizing a saw to cut the material.

You will place a specific amount of bars onto pallets to get them ready for shipment.

You need to be proficient with a tape measure.

Work Environment

Small metal distributor with about 12 employees working on the floor.

The environment can be loud due to the saws running.

It is organized with many products and big walk areas since the metal rods can be up to 15 feet long.

The facility is climate-controlled, staying cool especially when the trucks pull in and the garage style doors open up.

Shift:

1st shift, starting at 6 or 7 AM, with 8-hour days.
