Technology Analyst – Security & Compliance Administrator

Otter Tail County is accepting applications for a Technology Analyst – Security & Compliance Administrator. The focus of this position will be technological security and compliance. Other general technology analyst work includes coordinating the configuration, testing, and implementation of networks, operating systems, servers, desktops, and related application software upgrades; applies applicable software patches, fixes, system parameters, and other related items. Analyzes complex IT problems or information; determines system capacity and recommends system changes; suggests, designs, tests, implements, troubleshoots, and evaluates complex IT solutions. Security and Compliance Administrator Broad understanding of cyber security concepts and risks. Drive the IT Department s security standards and improve baseline security. Maintain working knowledge of common audit and compliance tools. Strong familiarity with industry standards and frameworks such as ISO standards, NIST, HIPAA, and CJIS. Work closely with management to understand and maintain department compliance requirements. Ability to drive responsibilities independently, while serving as a valued team member in the greater context. Work with industry security tools such as SIEM and vulnerability scanning software. Training Team Members: Educating colleagues on best practices that align with regulations. Data Security Review: Ensuring data security practices align with legal boundaries. Ensuring Compliance Ensure that the county adheres to industry standards, regulations, and guidelines. Assist with driving AI initiatives in a secure manner. This position is regularly scheduled to work 40 hours per week, Monday-Friday, 8:00-4:30, with the potential for evening or weekend hours. The 2024 starting salary for this position is $67,184 annually, depending on qualifications, with career advancement to $112,507.
