What will you do as an Equipment Service Technician?

As part of the Equipment Service Team, the Equipment Service Technician is responsible for maintenance, repair, delivery, set up, moving, and/or exchange of all Company beverage equipment to maximize customer satisfaction and sales. Equipment may include but not limited to vending machines, coolers, restaurant fountain equipment and coffee dispensing equipment. This position is responsibility for performing preventative and quality maintenance checks in addition to maintaining various records and reports.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

– Deliver, remove, exchange, and relocate beverage equipment.
– Load and unload beverage equipment for delivery and/or return
– Communicate with customers and supervisors regarding delivery and pick up status
– Cooler placement – which involves checking temperature and refrigeration.
– Educate customers in operation of equipment.
– Assist with installations, removals, and relocations of fountain equipment (post mix or pre mix) and coffee dispensing equipment.
– Troubleshoot equipment problems and perform immediate repairs and preventative maintenance on equipment.
– Operate a motor vehicle, both manual and automatic transmissions.
– Maintain on-vehicle parts inventory.
– Generate parts requests to ensure adequate inventory.
– Maintain and complete required paperwork such as work tickets, parts list, vehicle inspections, etc.
– Rebuild and repair parts and equipment.
– Use electronic hand held devise such as IPad for data entry and retrieval.
– Provide quality customer service including driving to customer locations to deliver and/or repair equipment.
– Maintain clean and safe work area.
– Scheduling flexibility is required.
– Conform with, abide by, and re-enforce all regulations, policies, work procedures, and processes

JOB KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

– Mechanical skills.
– Self-motivated with a high degree of integrity and ability to perform job with minimal supervision on a timely basis
– Ability to follow manufacturers specifications and schematics.
– Electrical problem diagnosis and repair.
– Programmable Logic Control (PLC) knowledge preferred.
– Valid drivers license and a motor vehicle driving history that meets Company guidelines.
– Adaptability – Ability to adapt to change in the workplace.
– Communication – Ability to effectively, clearly and concisely communicate verbally and in writing.

### Requirements

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

– High School diploma or GED required.
– 1-3 years of general work experience required.
– Refrigeration/HVAC trade or vocational certification preferred.
– General plumbing and technical experience preferred.
– Demonstrated mechanical, technical and electrical aptitude.
– Basic computer skills.
– Prior work experience with moving equipment preferred.
– Previous vending equipment repair and distribution a plus.
– Forklift certification preferred.
– Previous experience within high-speed industrial environment preferred
– May be required to supply hand tools.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

– Ability to do heavy lifting on a daily basis. Must be able to lift 75 lbs.
– Must be able to work standing for long periods.
– Must be able to work in various work environments including but not limited to heights, confined spaces and outdoors.
– Work involves walking, talking and hearing, using hands to handle, feel or operate objects. Vision abilities required by this job include close vision and the ability to focus when working on small components.

PERSONAL PROTECTIVE EQUIPMENT (PPE)

– The following are provided by the Company: Hearing protection, Hard hat, Safety glasses

WORK ENVIRONMENT

– The noise level in the work environment can be moderately noisy due to manufacturing and/or warehousing equipment in operation.
