Job Title: Wastewater Engineer

Job Description

Design calculations, specifications, models, cost estimates, and project schedules for municipal water and wastewater systems. Conduct water and sewer hydraulic modeling and master planning. Design municipal water distribution systems, wastewater collection systems, and storm sewers (including pipelines, pumping stations, meters, and structures). Perform analysis and design for pump and lift stations. Conduct construction administration and periodic inspection during construction of water/wastewater facilities. Plan, design, and construct public water supply, treatment, storage, and distribution systems, municipal wastewater collection systems and pump stations, as well as wastewater treatment systems including BNR processes and sludge handling facilities.

Work Environment

This position is open due to company growth and a strong backlog of work. The water/wastewater engineering team consists of approximately 4 project managers, 13 project and staff engineers, and 4-5 CAD technicians. Each team operates in a triangle structure, with 1 PM and 1-3 project/staff engineers. A Sr. PM may oversee 3 PMs. The position is 100% in the office with occasional site visits for construction administration and QA/QC work. Design specs and calculations are done by hand, with CAD support for final documentation. There is an opportunity for growth into PM or Sr. PM roles, as the company prefers to promote from within.
