Lab Technician

Job Title: Lab Technician – ChemistryJob Description

Perform numerous chemical and physical tests based on American Society for Testing and Materials (ASTM) methods or accepted industry standards in multiple test areas. Assist with equipment calibration, maintenance, and basic troubleshooting. Clean glassware and test equipment. Assist with preparing reagents as needed. Record data on appropriate data sheets and report data to the LIMS system. Maintain quality records, control charts, and lab supply inventories. Comply with safety, quality, and housekeeping requirements. Participate in cross-training as needed.

Hard Skills

Bachelors Degree in Chemistry

Life Science Degree with a Chemistry Minor

This is a Contract-to-Hire position with a duration of 6 Month(s).

Work Site

This is a fully on-site position in Saint Rose, Louisiana.

Work Environment

2,2,3 schedule (days) with shifts from 6 PM to 6 AM. Week One: Monday/Tuesday days, Wednesday/Thursday off, Friday/Saturday/Sunday days. Week Two: Wednesday/Thursday days. Week Three/Four: Flip to night hours. Work in main lab testing all types of crude oil, refined gases, and refined fuels using ASTM methods.
