JOB REQUIREMENTS
Education
Associates Degree in Health Related field or LPN.
Experience
Must be detail oriented. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Must be trustworthy and use good judgment. Excellent physical assessment skills. Proficient in Microsoft Office including PowerPoint, Excel, and Access programs.
Physical
Normal hospital environment. Hearing of normal and soft tones. Pleasant voice, self-starter, well organized, able to work with minimal supervision. Comfortable working in a confined office environment. Lifting up to 20lbs, Carrying up to 20 lbs, Pushing/Pulling 250 lbs. Frequent sitting, standing, walking, bending and computer work. Capable of handling several tasks at one time. Close eye work. Uses computer, copier, typewriter, and fax machine.

JOB SUMMARY
The Lung Cancer Navigator will work as part of the cancer care team to help coordinate care in a timely fashion to improve patient outcomes. Navigator will help to coordinate and promote the lung cancer screening program. This will include entering clinical data into the national lung screening registry database. Navigator will monitor and track suspicious imaging findings on routine and screening studies and work with physician team to ensure appropriate and timely follow up studies and treatment are received. Navigator will work with physician outreach team to promote screening criteria to referring physicians and to patients in the community through speaking engagements and other public education opportunities.0 The navigator will assist with providing smoking cessation education to lung screening physicians. The lung cancer navigator will work closely with the entire cancer navigation team to ensure psychosocial needs are addressed and will assist with referrals to support services if needed.
