Sr Specialist – Software Development & Engineering

Duties : Design, implement, secure, and unit test software applications developed. Participate in the full SDLC (Agile), including meetings, iterative development, estimations, and design sessions. Work with Product Owners to understand and implement complex business functionality. Work with other developers/UX designers to review stories and specifications and ensure that teams are meeting the objectives of the business while maintaining technical and architectural standards. Participate in deployment of software applications and services to various platforms. Develop software systems, web applications, RESTful Web APIs and security based on industry accepted standards using PHP, Drupal, and JavaScript. Participate in Technical Discussions, Governance meetings and contribute in technical standards and documentation.

Job Location: Westlake, TX

Salary: $125,274 to $160,800 per year

Starting compensation for this location depends on related experience. Annual bonus opportunity and other eligible earnings are not included in the range(s) above. We offer a competitive benefits package, see below for details.

What you have

Job Requirements : Bachelor’s in Computer science, Information Technology, Information Systems Security, or related field and 24 months of experience in a related occupation. Experience must include the following: Develop, modify, and create custom functionality via custom modules, APIs using Drupal CMS application, and PHP as the programming language; Develop RESTful Web APIs services that can be consumed by other applications or within the Drupal application using PHP; Write SQL queries and optimize database performance in Drupal Web application using MySQL or PHP; Analyze application security risk and mitigate by review, module updates, and secure coding standards in Drupal Web applications; and Leverage cloud platform capabilities to optimize, deploy, and manage Drupal application efficiently and securely using amazon AWS or Acquia Cloud Site Factory.
