Duties : Plan, design, develop, and test software systems or applications for software enhancements and new products, including cloud-based or internet-related tools. Develop robust and scalable web services and APIs in alignment with business needs. Ensure secure and efficient data interchange between systems. Collaborate with business teams to understand and translate functional requirements into technical specifications. Coordinate with operations teams to ensure application stability and performance. Understand, advocate and augment the platform principles, guidelines and standards. Mentor junior team members in best practices and standards. Optimize report definition configuration and queries for performance to ensure data integrity. Utilize diagnostics tools for continuous monitoring and timely identification of performance issues. Participate actively in Agile ceremonies as part of self-organizing teams to create a plan for the Sprint deliverables, instill quality by adhering to a definition-of-done criteria and as a result turn requirements into production ready product, service, or system providing incremental business value. Position allows for 100% remote work. Reports to company HQs in Westlake, TX. Subject to Schwab’s internal approach to workplace flexibility.

Job Location: Westlake, TX

Salary: $149,781 to $159,781 per year

Starting compensation for this location depends on related experience. Annual bonus opportunity and other eligible earnings are not included in the range(s) above. We offer a competitive benefits package, see below for details.

What you have

Job Requirements : Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field and 5 years of progressive, post-Bachelor’s related experience, or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field plus 3 years of experience. Experience must include some experience in each of the following skills: Pega Developer Studio for case workflow development, Web services, and API development and configuration; Monitoring applications using Pega Diagnostics Cloud, Pega’s Guardrail metrics, and Splunk; Establishing and enforcing coding standards to maintain a codebase; Implementing automated unit test plans on the Pega platform; Testing web-based technologies (HTML, CSS, and Angular) and implementing the Page Object Model design patterns; Federated identity and SSO standards (SAML and OAuth); and Pega integration, mapping development, and configuration, including Service-REST & Service SOAP rules.
