DESCRIPTION OF WORK
In this position you will function as lead worker by assigning, participating in, and reviewing routine and specialized tasks performed by inmates in the areas of pre-preparation, production, service, and baking. You will ensure proper control over inmates by enforcing custody and security regulations and inspecting all food service areas, equipment, and food for conformance with established safety and sanitation standards. You will play a crucial role in fostering a structured environment while ensuring that all operations adhere to regulatory requirements. By actively participating in the workflow and monitoring the performance of inmates, you will contribute to the overall efficiency and safety of the food service operations.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:
Full-time employment, 40 hours per week
Work hours are to be determined. You will work rotating shifts with rotating days off.
This position is eligible for full retirement benefits at age 50 or 55.
Salary:Selected candidates who are new to employment within the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania will begin employment at the starting annual salary of $44,753.00 (before taxes).

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY
QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
Two years of experience in food preparation, production, or service of a variety of complete meal menus in an institutional food service operation, food catering service, restaurant, or in a similar large-scale food production operation; or
An equivalent combination of experience and training.
Additional Requirements:
Successful completion of basic training in Elizabethtown, PA is required.
You must be able to perform essential job functions.
