Responsibilities

The purpose of this role is to primarily focuses on helping credit union members assess and meet the core financial needs of growth, income, protection and legacy. They will also partner with credit union associates to help credit union members meet the other two core financial needs of cash management and credit. As a member of a wealth advisor team, the Wealth Advisor Associate will focus on adding new members to Investment Services and on working with existing Investment Service members. Typically, they will work a segment of the teams book of business, covering a territory of the credit union such as certain branches, departments, and other areas within the credit union. Alignment with credit union mission and culture is required. The Wealth Advisor Associate position is designed to allow high potential candidates to enter the brokerage/insurance/investment advice business and develop under the leadership and coaching of their lead Wealth Advisor. This position also brings additional capacity to the advisor team to serve more credit union members across the six core financial needs.

The Wealth Advisor Associate will meet and profile prospective clients, review investment goals, prepare presentations, recommend investment products, follow up on client contacts, and help customers meet their needs through the sale of investment and securities products.  The role will also build strong relationships with members within the credit union, profile and execute on new business, effectively work an existing book of business, assess member needs and recommend the right combination of products and solutions by consistently using the prescribed sales process. In addition, the role will schedule and confirm member appointments, prepares paperwork, submits completed paperwork, follow up for accuracy and processing and prepare appointment performance reports.  Additionally, the role will work with the Wealth Advisor team to develop plans to achieve team and individual goals. Finally, the role will educate and coach associate on benefits of Investment Services products, services and referral opportunities. Finally, the role will maintain compliance to all credit union, NCUA, broker dealer, agency, FINRA policies and regulations.

This is a 100% in office opportunity that would require you to be based at one of our branches in the Berks or Lancaster county area.

WORKING CONDITIONS/PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
Ability to communicate effectively in English, both orally and in writing
Visually able to perform activities such as preparing and analyzing data and figures, viewing a computer terminal, and extensive reading
Ability to sit for extended time periods
Sufficient manual skill for operation of PC keyboard and other standard office equipment
Ability to travel, including occasional overnight travel
Abilit to exert minimum amounts of force occasionally to lift, carry, push, pull or move objects
