Job Title: Color Matcher

Job Description

Shift color match. Match colors requested by customers in a timely manner. Match colors for easy reproduction. Keep accurate records of formulas for consistent reproduction. Mix paint, primer, stain, and glaze for production. Create sample chips and box up chip sets. Update stain and glaze step panels for accurate production. Package ordered finish materials according to shipping requirements and developed SOPs. Track inventory of paint and pigment supplies. Use and maintain matching equipment to ensure consistent quality (dispenser, mixers, spectrophotometer, gloss checker, etc.). Follow all company safety policies and procedures. Also may help in assembly area. Position involves taking incoming wood that was rough cut and lining it up on a conveyor system that will feed it to the mill area. Will involve pulling individual boards from stack of lumber and placing on belt. Could require measuring the board to ensure consistency and the accurate boards are being selected and processed together. Will also pull boards that have been processed off of the end of the conveyor line and stack them on a skid. This will involve measuring and sorting the boards based on measurements and quality (this part will be trained and will come over time).

This is a fully on-site position in New Holland, Pennsylvania.

Work Environment

Wood working shop, can be a little dusty (but really not bad at all due to high tech ventilation system they have in place), loud environment. Position is open due to increase in business. They are really ramping up and need to add to their staff so this is a great opportunity to get hired on permanent. 1st shift. Weekend starts at 9am on Friday due to the four 9s and one 4 hour days. Good environment and good feedback from other contractors we have working there. Opportunity to take an entry-level candidate and learn a skill in woodworking and advance into different roles.
