ICP is seeking a highly skilled Maintenance Manager for our Seaford, DE plant. Under the direction of the Plant Manager and corporate engineering, you will coordinate all mechanical and electrical maintenance activities ensuring the plant operates at the highest level of uptime and efficiency. Ensure all maintenance functions are performed within company defined Environmental, Health and Safety guidelines and sustain a clean and organized maintenance department. Mentor and develop a highly skilled maintenance staff capable of supporting electrical, mechanical and steam requirements of the plant.
In this role you will be responsible for the following:
Ensure maintenance department adheres to all OSHA safety requirements as it relates to the duties of maintenance operations
Complete all required OSHA or corporate training courses as defined by management before conducting tasks
Maintain a strong safety culture within the maintenance department with exemplary work habits for the rest of the plant.
Under the direction of the Plant Manager, coordinate and guide all maintenance activities from start to finish
Responsible that all installations and repairs of pumps, motors, conveyors, filler lines, plant equipment or other devices are completed with a high level of craftmanship.
Expand the knowledge and skillset of the technicians as it relates to: 1) process pumps and mixing equipment, 2) pneumatic components and control systems, 3) hydraulic components and control systems, 4) power transmission systems (gearboxes, chains, drives, etc), 4) relay logic, 5) field instrumentation, 6) PLC/DCS troubleshooting
Troubleshoot equipment issues and provide supervisor or management a repair solution including parts list and timeline
As needed perform electrical maintenance such as wring motors, VFD’s control panels or other lower voltage items
Troubleshoot PLC logic or hardware issues associated with automated process equipment
Maintain maintenance shop in a clean, organized, professional condition, following all safety requirements for hazardous materials
Ensure technicians maintain all tools, power equipment, and other tools of the trade in a clean and safe working condition
Ensure all documentation for LOTO, Confined Space, Hot Work, non standard work safety analysis and other related safety documents are completed before performing any work
Maintain effective and positive communication with other departments
Keep supervisors and management aware of pending issues and status of installation or repair
Through the use of a CMMS system, coordinate preventative maintenance tasks on key plant equipment and ensure completion of those tasks
Strive to meet safety targets or objectives set by plant and corporate EH&S
Continuous development of maintenance staff through coaching and training
With support from plant management and corporate engineering, develop maintenance budgets and monitor spend to control cost while maintaining expected plant performance
Develop and submit capital spend projects geared toward safety and productivity improvements
Operate Forklift, Man Lift, Scissor Lift, or other similar equipment
Order parts, check paperwork on receipt of parts
Attend safety meetings, conduct safety audits
Requirements:
Extensive experience in an industrial maintenance environment with a broad knowledge of process equipment.
A minimum of 10 years performing electromechanical duties in an industrial manufacturing environment
Highly experienced background installing/repairing air pumps, PD Pumps, pneumatic valves, gearboxes and installing/maintaining VFD’s, high voltage motors and various automated equipment
Experience with preventative maintenance programs
Background working with asphalt related products or equipment is a plus
Advanced education or training in engineering, mechanics or technical related fields a plus
Solid foundation and skillset with Microsoft office products, particularly Excel and PowerPoint
Welding certifications a plus but not required, however, present a strong attention to detail regarding fabrication work.
Able to read technical documents
Must have 20/20 or corrected 20/20 vision
Understanding of boiler and or hot oil systems is a plus
Exhibit a strong problem-solving aptitude when it comes to mechanical equipment
Employee must be able to safely lift in excess of 70 pounds without difficulty
Employee must have full range of motion and able to work in awkward positions
Must be able to work at heights in excess of 40 feet without concern
Must be able to interact with all levels of plant personnel in a positive and productive way
Experience leading projects from inception to completion
Background developing and managing budgets including capital spend projects
