Overview

Deputy Program Manager (E30-2024-21749):

Bowhead seeks a Deputy Program Manager to support E30 and other contracts as assigned at NSWCDD. The Deputy Program Manager will work directly with the Program Manager and customer stakeholders to coordinate and collaborate across multiple teams managing multiple initiatives simultaneously. Will work directly with the client developing management and/or program evaluation plans, procedures, and methodology; analyzing and evaluating proposed changes in mission or operating procedures. They will act as Site Lead and support personnel in managing all operational aspects, including program execution, growth, and risks management.

Responsibilities

The Deputy Program Manager will assist the Program Manager with all facets of the contracts that are assigned to the PM. This will include but not limited to P&L responsibility, overseeing program budget, schedules, and personnel to include subcontractors and support the PM with all contractual requirements.

Job Duties to include but not limited to:

Assist in developing management and/or program evaluation plans, procedures, and methodology.

Assist in analyzing and evaluating proposed changes in mission or operating procedures.

Assist the PM with data management.

Assist with and/or lead interviews and other hiring actions.

Fill in as primary POC in PM’s absence.

Assist PM in growing the contract.

Mentor other employees

Qualifications

Five (5) years general experience which includes four (4) years specialized experience in analyzing and evaluating the effectiveness of program operations

Experience related to Gun Weapon Systems and/or Navy programs.

PMP certification preferred.

Experience related to weapons systems and/or Navy programs.

Intermediate to advanced level skills in Microsoft Office software suite – Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint

Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of employees and outside contacts

Strong interpersonal skills and good judgment with the ability to work alone or as part of a team

Physical Demands:

Must be able to lift up to 35 pounds

Must be able to stand and walk for prolonged amounts of time

Must be able to twist, bend and squat periodically

SECURITY CLEARANCE REQUIREMENTS: Must currently hold a security clearance at the Secret level. US Citizenship is a requirement for Secret clearance at this location.
