Parts Clerk/Cycle Counting

• Maintain safe and clean work area as required by Good Manufacturing Practices.

• Understand and communicate all hazards and safety issues to co-workers and Supervisors. Properly use all required personal protective equipment.

• Responsible for the organization and maintenance of the storeroom including the receipt and stocking of parts, FIFO, flammables, labeling, etc.

• Responsible for the Disbursement (Issue) of Spares and Production supplies to the various departments, ensuring the issue units, costs, cost centers, accounts and quantities are accurate.

• Responsible for the physical maintenance of the computer-based inventory system (Maximo). These duties include data entry, generation of reports, helping system users with training, assistance in resolving hardware and software issues.

• Use Maximo Maintenance system to properly ensure correct inventory (min/max) of critical parts and supplies and location of all associated parts and supplies.

• Perform data entry adhering to standardized formats.

• Utilize Inventory Discrepancy Reports (IDRs) to report discrepancies between physical counts and computer records.

• Communicate inventory issues to Storeroom Manager and Buyer, assist with resolution.

• Track purchase orders, item availability and communicate accordingly to internal customers.

• Monitor Kanban visuals for Warehouse items, create Warehouse Tasks in SAP to replenish those items when prompted.

• Maintain Warehouse Task tracker to ensure all requests are documented, transferred, and charged out to the appropriate departments.

• Run reports in SAP to track Warehouse tasks and movement of Stores managed items.

• Conduct daily cycle counts and weekly critical counts (items deemed critical to Production); perform investigations on all discrepancies to determine root cause (confer with Storeroom Manager); record all physical counts and reconcile balances documenting RCA for all variances in Maximo.

• Perform daily Receiving and Disbursement audits, correct any errors, document errors into the Audit Tracker and report all findings to the Storeroom Manager.

• Flag and track custom parts in Maximo, ensure all in-house modifications are performed by the Maintenance Shop upon receipt. Update Storeroom/Buyer notes as needed.

• Build and Break-down Custom O-ring Kits as required (physically and systemically), work closely with Buyer to report any issues.

• Possess the ability to multi-task, the ability to assist customers and manage special projects/assignments without being micro-managed.

• Possess problem solving skills; attention to detail.

• Manage computer documents and files, importing information as required into Maximo.

• Manage spare part pictures and drawings files for import into Maximo.

• Possess great follow-up skills and the ability to see tasks and assignments through to completion.

• Work with Planners to Kit parts for scheduled work/projects and PMs.

• Manage returns to vendor and shipping requirements.

• Manage FIFO inventory.

• Work with EHS for proper disposal of various types of scrap material, chemicals, etc.

• Report stock outs and last issues to Buyers.

Additional Skills:

• Previous manufacturing, inventory, or MRO work experience, is preferred.

• Excellent verbal, written, and social communication skills. The ability to communicate effectively across various departments and levels.

• At least 1 to 3 years of previous work experience in a manufacturing and/or warehouse environment is preferred.

• Knowledge of mechanical and electrical equipment, components, and parts.

• SAP and Maximo Systems experience is preferred.

• Prior experience with receiving tasks and inventory control, required.

• Proficient in the use of a computer with a good working knowledge of MS Office applications (i.e., Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.), required.

• Must have a valid Drivers’ License
