SAIC is seeking a Software Testing Engineer to join our team in Huntsville, AL.

The Systems Simulation, Software and Integration (S3I) Directorate is seeking a Software Test Engineer candidate in support of the Terminal High Altitude Area Defense (THAAD) Interoperability Team at Redstone Arsenal. This individual will be responsible for providing technical expertise for Link-16 Interoperability testing in support of research, development and integration efforts.

The candidate should be a self-starter and be able to operate with minimal supervision. The candidate must have a willingness to learn. The candidate must be flexible and work well with other team members. Excellent verbal and written communication skills are required as well. Daily duties will be conducted at S3I in Huntsville, AL.

The Candidates for this position must have at a minimum, a United States SECRET level security clearance.

Duties and Responsibilities:

·Support the Missile Defense Agency by testing and documenting the THAAD Fire Control and Communications Software (TFCC) in multiple tests events of: Service Level Tests, NATO Ensemble Tests, Joint Interoperability Certifications, Army Interoperability Certifications and many other tests as requested.

Develop test procedures in a fast-paced environment.

Support test events and Warfighter support specified by the Missile Defense Agency in support of THAAD operations and testing.

Interact with site personnel to coordinate test lab architecture and configurations

Support MIL-STD 6016 development by reviewing Interface Change Proposals and working papers as required.

Qualifications

Education Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, and five (5) years of experience; Additional six (6) years experience can be accepted in lieu of degree (per contract vehicle).

Clearance Requirements:

Must possess an active Secret security clearance; US Citizenship required.

Required Skills:

Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

Advanced understanding of MIL-STD 6016 coupled with ability to analyze Link-16 Messages to provide real-time analysis.

The ability to provide written in-depth analysis reports upon conclusion of testing.

Must have experience integrating test environments in preparation for testing.

Must be able to obtain/maintain a US Passport.

Desired Skills:

Ability to create and edit configurations for CISCO routers, switches, and firewalls as it pertains to current and future network infrastructure.

Experience with Link-16 test tools (IES, NSITE, BOSS, CDS3, MLST3)

Understanding of Air Defense and its role to the Warfighter and Battlefield.

Travel Requirement: 10%
