Control Systems Technician

Description:
• Maintain, troubleshoot and modify software programs for material handling control systems, including PLC/PC controllers and industrial networks such as Ethernet, ControlNet, DeviceNet, Profibus, motor control systems, servo drives, frequency drives, and electrical distribution systems.
• Industrial electrical hands-on experience and troubleshooting, including 480V 3-phase, 110 VAC, 24VDC systems
• Ability to interpret and modify drawings both mechanical and electrical
• Act as second level escalation support
• Monitor material handling equipment metrics and partner with facilities/operations for system performance issues both within assigned Fulfillment Center (FC) and with like systems in similar FC systems.
• Partner with Facility Operations leadership, equipment vendors and parts suppliers to plan and coordinate new technology installations.
• Communicate technical issues and project timelines with building leadership, operations and the maintenance team. Explain production impacts and work closely with operations and engineering to ensure a thorough
• Train and develop CSTs on controls systems concepts and procedures

Additional Skills & Qualifications:
CSLs MUST HAVE 4 years of experience in control systems (PLC, motor controls, robotics, etc.) troubleshooting and maintenance and 1 year of experience leading or managing a team
Preferred Industries & Equipment: Candidate from Distribution, Logistics, Manufacturing, Industrial industries performing maintenance on complex systems and industrial equipment (running diagnostics, inspections, troubleshooting, repairing, creating work orders), specifically experience with conveyors
Secondary: Candidate from Automotive, Military, Industrial Facilities Maintenance, etc. industries that have experience performing maintenance on complex systems and equipment (running diagnostics, inspections, troubleshooting, repairing, creating work orders)
Education: preferred candidates would have an associate degree or higher from a technical school, apprenticeship, certifications, military training, hands on training related to maintenance field
