Farm Production Supervisor

[FARM PRODUCTION SUPERVISOR

[This position supervises employees in a farm environment: plans and assigns work, implements policies and procedures, and recommends improvements in production methods, equipment, operating procedures and working conditions. Requires proven experience as a supervisor with the ability to communicate and lead a team. Has good decision-making ability and can handle problems quickly and efficiently.

– Assists with GPS operation, equipment and decisions
– Directs team members who are performing farm functions during farming seasons and are productive and efficient during off-seasons.
– Works independently as well as ensures team members are being productive in the proper direction daily
– Willing to operate as a team member in a variety of different roles/jobs during the peak seasons
– Assists with irrigation
– Coordinates field drainage projects and repair
– Assists in isolations with neighbors
– Surveys drainage elevations, area and features
– Reviews, suggests and demonstrates equipment
– Determines timing of cutting and pulling operations
– Operates equipment as needed
– Scouts and coordinates chemical applications

[Education:[ Associate degree with at least 2 years related work experience or 4 years agricultural related work experience, or equivalent.
