DESCRIPTION/RESPONSIBILITIES: Johnsonville, LLC Equipment Sanitation
Technician Pay Range: $25.15/hr – $27.08/hr $2.00 Shift Premium
Hours: 9:00pm – 5:30am, Monday-Friday (Overtime as production demands)
Position Overview: Johnsonville sanitation roles are highly technical
and crucial to production at Johnsonville. Unlike custodial roles,
sanitation technicians target microorganisms, which can be invisible to
the naked eye and could make consumers sick. Sanitation technicians work
with a variety of chemicals and tools to ensure our production areas are
as clean as possible throughout the day. This, in turn, helps
Johnsonville provide great-tasting products for our customers and their
families. Responsibilities: Consistently follow good manufacturing
practices (GMPs) and industry standards to maintain sanitary conditions
Ensure sanitation and food safety specifications are met through an
environmental monitoring program Develop best practices for new
equipment and technology Participate in daily team meetings and
project teams Learn, develop, and grow by finding better ways to meet
your commitments to yourself, your team, and Johnsonville Operate
PIVs (powered industrial vehicles), including standing-operation
high-lift forklifts, standing-operation low-lift pallet movers, and
walk-behind movers and lifts Lock out, disassemble, and reassemble
production equipment Prepare and use a variety of cleaning chemicals,
including acids, caustics, and sanitizers Clean and sanitize areas to
meet USDA and internal food safety standards Utilize aseptic swabbing
to monitor equipment cleanliness Complete sanitation documentation
accurately throughout the shift Work in cold and wet conditions

EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS: Experience: Sanitation experience
preferred Chemical training preferred PIV or mobile platform
certifi ation preferred Skills and Competencies: Must be comfortable
working at heights above 4 feet on a platform or ladder Ability to
read and write required, English or Spanish preferred Ability to do
addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division required
Candidates will be required to achieve and maintain chemical
certification through Johnsonville (offered in English or Spanish)
Must be able to lift 40 pounds at or above waist height Ability to
drive standing PIVs and mobile/scissor lifts required Detail-oriented
candidates preferred Strong verbal communication skills preferred
Based on business necessity, must be proficient in English.
