Job Title: Mechanical Assembler-CAN START ASAP

Job Description

As an mechanical assembler, you will be responsible for assembling lab equipment. You will perform full-cycle assembly and testing independently, using hand tools to assemble stainless steel lab equipment. This role requires lifting up to 50 lbs on your own. Daily tasks involve reading and interpreting blueprints and schematics with a high level of proficiency.

Hard Skills

Knowledge of product assembly

Ability to read and understand engineering drawings, wiring schematics, and bill of materials

Troubleshooting and repairing problems with some assistance

Selection of tools, materials, and equipment for non-repetitive assembly

Basic understanding of electrical/mechanical assembly

Soft Skills

Good judgment

Ability to work in a team

Job Type

This is a Contract-to-Hire position with a duration of 90 Day(s).

Work Site

This is a fully on-site position in Kansas City, Missouri.

Work Environment

Very clean working environment, steel-toed boots required, jeans/t-shirt. The department has about 10 people. Work occurs in a sheet metal environment that is not temperature controlled, within a 160,000 sq ft facility. The position is 1st shift, 6am-2:30pm, Monday-Friday, with occasional early starts at 5am, totaling up to 5 hours of overtime per week
