Job Title: Forklift Operator
Pay:
$22.63 /hr. with increases at 120 days and after 1 year!
Shift/Hours:
2nd and 3rd
– 2nd shift Monday to Friday 3:00pm to 11:00pm
– 3rd shift Sunday to Thursday 11:00pm to 7:00am

What You Will Do
In this position you are responsible for supplying production lines with necessary materials, removing goods from production lines as necessary to support production needs, loading and unloading Chemsets, load and/or unload semi-trailers, wrapping and/or storing materials, utilizing partial pallets and the first in first out (FIFO) inventory management method. All inventory must be accurately managed using the plants inventory management system (BES), including all movement of product. This is a forklift driving position.
How You Will Do It
– Successfully complete training in classification.
– Forklift certification required or ability to attain prior to reporting to position.
– Perform pre-operation inspection of forklift and standard maintenance of forklifts such as charging and topping off battery water levels.
– Forklift and/or property damage must be reported to supervisor immediately.

Includes turning charger off prior to disconnecting charging cable, to prevent arching and damage to charging stations.
– Provide raw materials to departmental lines, as required to meet production scheduling needs.
– Remove materials from departmental lines, as required to meet production scheduling needs.
– Load and/or unload semi-trailers.
– Accurately complete inventory moves within inventory management system (BES).
– Safely store and organize inventory.

Includes shrink wrapping and/or banding, as required.
– Assists in conducting inventory counts.
– Actively participate in lean enterprise initiatives to improve business processes.
– Willingness to respectfully teach/guide/mentor forklift operators.
– Ability to communicate clearly in both written and verbal form.
– Perform tasks as assigned by management, which may include tasks not listed.

What We Look For

– Ability to stand/walk for long period of time.
– Ability to work in a hot environment.
– Ability to physically bend, twist and kneel in a safe and efficient manner.
– Basic computer skills.
– Basic math, reading and writing skills.
– Availability to work overtime and weekends as needed.
– Ability to come in early or stay late depending on production demands.
– Must be able to wear required PPE.
