Performs entry-level administrative support work. Work involves performing a wide range of administrative and office support work for the department. Employees at this level perform assignments following specific instructions and are subject to frequent review by the immediate supervisor.Responsible for providing support to HR operations in the Northeast Branch. Will work with other interns and local HR Generalists to complete assigned tasks and projects, provide customer service, and perform other duties as assigned.Essential Duties:Assists in maintaining confidential information and records. Primarily supports the HR Generalist – Leave Coordinator.Maintains files, records, and logs, paper and electronic. Enters data into various Human Resources systems.Assists with recruiting, pre-employment/due diligence tasks and onboardng/offboarding.Conducts data audits/updates – Education, Drivers License, Safety Impact, Professional Engineer, Emergency Contact and other systems information, as assigned.Assists in event preparation, including but not limited to: New Employee Orientation, Recruiting, Wellness and other district events as needed.Gains exposure to Human Resources-related issues. (observing conversations presentations; assisting with other tasks as needed.)Performs other job responsibilities as assigned. Interns working more than one consecutive semester may perform duties at a more advanced level.
