The AWS Training and Certification (T&C) organization educates customers, partners, and AWS employees on AWS services, products, and solutions. As part of the T&C Business Insights & Analytics team, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining advanced business intelligence (BI) solutions that provide key stakeholders with actionable insights to drive strategic decision-making. This senior-level role requires deep expertise in building complex data models, integrating multiple data sources, and creating sophisticated analytical dashboards and reports for AWS Training and Certification (T&C) organization.
Key job responsibilities
• Lead the design and development of an enterprise-wide BI architecture, ensuring scalability, reliability, and security of the BI ecosystem
• Develop robust and efficient ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes to integrate data from various sources into a centralized data warehouse or data lake
• Create advanced data models using techniques like star schema, snowflake schema, or data vault modeling to enable complex analytical capabilities
• Implement cutting-edge BI tools and technologies (e.g., Tableau, QuickSights) to build interactive, visually-appealing, and user-friendly dashboards and reports
• Perform complex data analysis and create custom algorithms to uncover hidden insights, patterns, and trends in large and diverse data sets
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (e.g., data engineers, data scientists, business analysts) to define BI requirements, identify data sources, and optimize data pipelines
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior BI team members, sharing best practices and driving continuous improvement
• Stay up-to-date with the latest BI trends, tools, and methodologies, and recommend new solutions to enhance the companys BI capabilities
• Ensure the BI solution meets the organizations data governance, security, and compliance requirements
• Communicate technical concepts and insights to non-technical stakeholders in a clear and compelling manner

Basic Qualifications
– 10 years of professional or military experience
– 5 years of SQL experience
– Experience programming to extract, transform and clean large (multi-TB) data sets
Preferred Qualifications
– Experience working directly with business stakeholders to translate between data and business needs
– Experience managing, analyzing and communicating results to senior leadership
