Wealth and Asset Management (WAM) engineering is a fast-growing organization within Schwab Technology Services and aligned to support the technology needs of Schwab Asset Management (SAM), Wealth & Advice Solutions (WAS), the Schwab Center for Financial Research (SCFR), and Third-Party Platform teams.

We are seeking a Junior Software development Engineer for our Investment Advisory Integration group within the WAM Engineering organization. As our Junior Full-Stack Software Engineer, you will have a real passion for continually learning about technology. Required Qualifications:

The ability to work in a fast-paced environment and contribute to multiple projects simultaneously.

A passion for solving problems in a dynamic customer-focused team environment that uses the newest technologies and techniques.

A commitment to regularly improving your technical and professional skills, learning emerging technologies and growing as valued team member.

Influencing the quality, efficiency, and effectiveness of projects.

Experience in Wealth and Asset Management engineering.

BA/BS degree in Computer Science or equivalent.

2 or more years of full-stack software development experience, with an emphasis on backend-end development

Experience developing RESTful APIs with Java (17 or later) and Java Spring Boot / Spring Batch.

Experience working with database such as Postgres and MongoDB

Experience in implementing software development engineering best practices, such as DevOps practices, continuous integration, continuous deployment, lean methodologies, Scrum, and Kanban

Hands-on experience building REST based APIs, using messaging and streaming technologies, and development tools such as Bamboo, Bitbucket, and Jira

Understanding of Agile software development principles, including experience participating in a Scrum-based delivery team

Experience with continuous integration and delivery tools using GitHub/GitActions

Preferred Qualifications

Demonstrated knowledge in troubleshooting Issues using Splunk, including logging, and creating Splunk alerts.

Capcity Utilization report automation to improve efficiencies

In addition to the salary range, this role is also eligible for bonus or incentive opportunities.
