The following positions within Inpatient Adolescent Psychiatry, Inpatient
Adult Psychiatry, Psychiatric Emergency Services, CARES, and Outpatient
Behavioral Health Services are offering the opportunity to enroll in a new
program offering a cash incentive to recognize your work treating patients
with substance use disorders. This program is sponsored through the ACCESS
(Advancing Careers, Competencies, and Equity in Substance Treatment
Services) grant. Employees must be >0.6 FTE to be eligible. 50% of the
bonus will be received 90 days after signing the program contract.

Registered Nurses (RNs) may earn up to $7,500 by December 2024
Behavioral Health Technicians (BHTs) may earn up to $3,500 by December 2024
Care Navigators may earn up to $3,500 by December 2024

Job Summary

Masters level therapist, under supervision of a licensed therapist,
performs culturally competent individual, family and group therapy, care
plan development, case management, family intervention, and referral
work within Colorado BHA Standards for patients receiving psychiatric and
substance use disorder treatment at Denver Health. Subscribes to an
evidence-based practice framework to manage and facilitate clinical processes
and progress for patients. Effectively manages a clinical caseload and
clinical documentation that spans multiple modalities of care. Goals of
clinical practice are to assist patients in their ability to effectively
manage/improve their psychiatric and substance use disorders, to function
better with the community and gain stability within the community setting.

Essential Functions:
Psychotherapy: Provides individual, family and/or group psychotherapy to
address identified mental health and/or substance disorders (under the
supervision of a licensed therapist on the team). Documents therapy
treatment plan, interventions, and client response to treatment according
to State guidelines, ensuring that clinical supervision records are current.

Patient Assessment: Identifies patients conditions, problems, and
determines diagnosis. Evaluates emotional components, impacts of health
issues and assists client to identify strengths, dysfunctional factors and
to establish detailed and coordinated treatment plans. Interviews clients to
obtain health history and/or complete intake evaluation which may include
necessary paperwork. (10%)

Education:
Masters Degree Counseling profession (social work, counseling) required.

Work Experience:
1-3 years experience working in mental health and/or substance use disorders
required.
1-3 years experience with client assessment and providing individual/family
psychotherapy as well as group therapy and documenting clinical progress
throughout the treatment episode required.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Demonstrates knowledge and applicability of the principle of growth and
development over the lifespan, as well as demonstrating the ability to
assess data reflecting the patients status and interpreting appropriate
cultural information of the patient(s) to whom care/service is being
delivered/provided.
Knowledge of evidence-based clinical framework.
Knowledge of the disease progression of mental health or addictive disorders.
Knowledge of medical terms, abbreviations, diagnosis, treatment and
prognosis, and demonstrates this knowledge verbally and in writing.
Ability to motivate persons for positive change.
Clinical thinking skills that lead to the identification of the strengths and
weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions or approaches o problems.
Ability to provide clinical assistance, emotional support and skills
building, or other necessary clinical care to patients when needed.
Ability to maintain professional boundaries and confidentiality of records
relating to clients treatment.
Ability to develop effective therapeutic interventions that are
social-culturally sensitive.
Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint.

Monday – Thursday, 10-hr shifts – OR – Monday – Friday, 8-hr shifts
