8am – 4:30pm Monday – Friday (occasional weekend OT)
Job Description
The Warehouse Inventory Lead oversees all inventory-related operations at the Newark facility. This role is responsible for leading personnel, ensuring operational efficiency, maintaining inventory accuracy, and managing customer relationships and billing processes.
Inventory Management:
Ensure 99% inventory accuracy through daily cycle counts and audits.
Oversee shipping and receiving processes, achieving an 8-hour dock-to-stock time for inbound shipments.
Maintain proper labeling and organization of inventory.
Personnel Management:
Supervise warehouse staff, manage daily schedules, and control overtime.
Foster a safe and team-oriented work environment, providing hands-on leadership.
Operational Oversight:
Manage warehouse equipment and support needs; coordinate with dispatch for additional equipment as required.
Oversee truck unloading/loading, order picking, and workflow, providing support as necessary.
Maintain warehouse layout, equipment, and safety standards; create and update SOPs.
Report on warehouse performance metrics, including inventory accuracy, order fill rates, and shipping timeliness.
Implement best practices for warehouse operations and continuous improvement.
Safety and Security:
Ensure compliance with safety protocols, including PPE usage and equipment inspections.
Maintain a clean, organized, and secure warehouse environment.
Customer Service and Billing:
Generate and review square footage usage reports for billing.
Verify billing accuracy and manage customer invoicing with the Terminal Manager.
Provide inventory and customer service support as needed.
